Product Description
Brand new, uninked letterpress wood type printing blocks CNC milled from end grain beech.
Typeface
Classic grotesque available as a lowercase and uppercase wood type fount. The lowercase set includes longer, descending characters which have been designed to lock into forme with standard lowercase or uppercase characters using metal furniture. For example, the 10 line lowercase descenders are 13 line and lock into standard characters using 3 line furniture as shown in the photos.
Materials
End grain beech hardwood finely sanded to type height. Each block is finished with shellac and polished with fine steel wool for a smooth print surface.

Default type height is 23.32mm / 0.918” with a tolerance of 0.05mm along the end grain and relief depth of 2.5mm. Please contact us if you want a different scheme, line size, relief depth or type height, e.g. European type height (23.56mm).
