Product Description
Brand new, uninked letterpress wood type printing blocks CNC milled from end grain beech.
Typeface
Banco was originally designed by Roger Excoffon for the Founderie Olive. The tilting, inclined letters and sharp corners bring a unique vibe to letterpress prints. Perfectly for display text on posters and prints.
The set includes descending characters (e.g J, &, Q) which are longer than standard letters. These are locked into forme with pica furniture or, in the case of 8 line Banco, 1 pica spacers as shown in the photos.

Materials
End grain beech hardwood finely sanded to type height. Each block is finished with shellac and polished with fine steel wool for a smooth print surface.

Default type height is 23.32mm / 0.918” with a tolerance of 0.05mm along the end grain and relief depth of 2.5mm. Please contact us if you want a different scheme, line size, relief depth or type height, e.g. European type height (23.56mm).
Shipping
We welcome domestic and international orders. UK orders will be sent via Royal Mail’s Insured Special Delivery service. International orders will be sent with UPS or via the most relevant courier. Import duties, customs fees and local taxes are to be paid by the receiver.
